SPORTALOOSA INTERNATIONAL AT EQUITANA 2010We've officially declared Equitana 2010 to have been brilliant for Sportaloosas. We talked to hundreds of people, answered countless questions and handed out brochures, for sale and stallion lists until we were exhausted! We were interviewed for Horsetalk TV and photographed for newspaper. Our spotted ambassador Cayuse A Grand Illusion took part in 4 stallion parades and 2 breed displays with commentary. We sold DVDs, mouse mats, mugs and calendars, gave out 3 spot prizes of beautiful Sportaloosa saddle blankets and made 2 people very happy when they were drawn the winners of a free service. All Sportaloosa stallions were on display and we had a slide show of several hundred photos running constantly, so people got to see a huge variety of spotted horses. There was a real buzz in the air as people had a close look at the quality of the horses in the Sportaloosa registry and we lost count of the number who claimed they weren't Appaloosa fans but had been converted! It was wonderful to meet so many of our members; thanks again for coming to see us and special thanks to Ann and Warren Lewis for providing a home away from home and helping with every little thing and to Ev Lagoon for assistance with missing stirrup leathers! Read the inside story and see all the photos in Illusion's diary on Facebook Winners of the Sportaloosa stallion services Congratulations to these lucky winners - Yvonne Wintergreene - winner of the service to Cayuse A Grand Illusion - Bridget Woodward - winner of the service to Mighty Luminous we wish you wonderful foals! |
