2015 Sportaloosa foal futurity results

The 2015 Sportaloosa foal futurity saw one of the best quality lineups we've had, judged by top competitor David Shoobridge.

For the first time ever, it was impossible to separate champion from reserve champion so we are proud to present...

Joint 2015 Sportaloosa foal futurity champions

Palousa San Vincente from Europe, owned by Elsa Strandberg

Sire: Dutch Appaloosa El Colorado
Dam: Dutch Appaloosa Palousa Caprice

"An imposing colt with enormous 'look at me' quality. He shows good connection in his joints and paces. A good uphill way of going and will be a super sport horse in the future."

Mac's Mighty Flash from Australia, owned by Mac's Appaloosa Stud

Sire: Lori's Flashpoint Af Lyn
Dam: Cayuse Sign Of A Storm

"An upstanding colt with a wonderful type. A lovely set on neck with three good, clear paces. A definite star of the future."

3rd place Cayuse Duke of Earl, Australia

4th place The Skiplomat, New Zealand

5th place Skipnotic, New Zealand

6th place Mac's Dark and Stormy, Australia

Congratulations to all entrants on some outstanding foals.

Judge David Shoobridge had this to say: "The winners are definitely top quality horses that possess the attributes to become a great sport horse.

Having said that, any of the foals presented could reach heights in the equestrian world - a lot depends on trainability and temperament. Not something that can easily be judged through video.

Lovely horses!"
