Stacking the odds of appaloosa colour in your favourIn 2011, it was our absolute privilege to work with Sheila Archer and Rebecca Bellone of the Appaloosa Project to produce an educational 3-part video seminar series.  These 'Stacking the odds of colour in your favour' seminars were created specifically for Sportaloosa International at Equidays and are now available online for you to view.

Part one - the 'appaloosa' gene

In this part, you'll learn about the 'appaloosa' gene LP, its physical characteristics and how it's inherited.

Part two - pattern genes

This part deals with pattern genes and the role they play in producing appaloosa coat patterns.

Part three - night blindness in the Appaloosa

The final part covers the relationship between Congenital Stationary Night Blindness (CSNB) and the LP gene, including tips for managing CSNB in affected appaloosa horses.
