Registered Sportaloosas qualify for annual awards and lifetime bronze, silver and gold medallions for achievement in competition... all kinds of competitions and all kinds of disciplines.
- Competing in Appaloosa halter classes? You can record points.
- Out in hack classes? Send in your points.
- Just completed an endurance ride? Fire that points sheet through.
- Attended a western show? You guessed it, send us the points form.
- Dressage, showjumping, campdrafting, pony club..... you name it, you can record points.
- Agility competition? As long as the organisation running the event is keeping an official record of show records, you're ok to earn points.

To have your points counted, print this form and take it and a copy of your Sportaloosa registration certificate to competitions. Complete it and have the relevant show official sign it for you, then send it back to us. Don't wait too long, as we collate our high point awards promptly.
Bronze medal certificate of ability - 100 points
This award can be earned in individual events eg. jumping, barrel racing etc or the allrounder award can be earned for points in 3 different events.
Silver medal champion award - 250 points
In individual events and allrounder earned for points in 4 different events
Gold medal elite award - 500 points
In individual events and allrounder earned for points in 5 different events
Points can be earned at all recognised shows: events run by any organisation/club that keeps official records on the performance of all horses entered in the event. Points are gained in open, novice and maiden classes judged on the performance of the horse; rookie, beginner and improver classes do not count. Double points are awarded for royal shows, national/state titles and open futurities.
Led horse points include halter points for Appaloosa/Knabstrupper and any other breed classes, hunter in hand, led hack, suitability and sport horse classes.
